Herbert R. Wachner, Saginaw and Au Gres , Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Herb was born September 29, 1952, in Saginaw. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Navy. Herb worked at Eaton Manufacturing in foundry maintenance for 30 years. He also owned his own business, Structured Wiring Solutions. Herb loved fishing, working on his 1955 Chevy Truck and spending time with his grandchildren. Herb leaves behind his wife Joy (Desonia) Wachner; children: Scott (Denise) Wachner, Dave (Amber) Wachner, Jeremy Simpson, Nathaniel (Jenny) Simpson and Laura Simpson; grandchildren: Stephanie, Ryan and Ava Wachner, Alexis, Anna and Nathaniel Simpson, Logan and Chloe Rohloff; his mother, Carol (Hensel) Wachner; grandmother, Verna Field; sister, Lynnette (Dennis) Kreinbrink; and a very special niece, Jennifer Kreinbrink. He was predeceased by his father Herbert C. Wachner Jr. For the loving care Herb received, the family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Ninan, Dr. Sam Shaheen and the staff on 7 South at St. Mary’s of Michigan. Honoring Herb’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, August 14, 2009 at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road. Pastor Tim Woycik will officiate. V.F.W. Post #7542 of Birch Run will render military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
