Wayne Vasher, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on November 20, 2009 at St. Mary’s of Michigan after a lengthy illness.  Age 77 years.  The son of the late Bernard Vasher and Verrannah Vasher-Miller was born on July 14, 1932 in Wyandotte, MI.  He married Pearl Cesar on December 29, 1956, she survives him.  Wayne was a former superintendent of Saginaw Township Schools and Vasher auditorium at Heritage High School is a tribute to his promotion of the fine arts and the youth symphony orchestra.  He also worked as an administrator for Saginaw Valley State University and Mosica Charter Schools.  Wayne was a member of St. Mary Cathedral and the rotary club.  He enjoyed spending time with his family in particular many summers at their cottage.  Surviving besides his wife are four children and their spouses; Andre (Elizabeth) Vasher, Brendan (Sandy) Vasher, Barry Vasher, Katrina (Adam) Koller, five grandchildren; Peter, Brittany, Louise, Lindsey, Kevin, his siblings; Sally, Alan, Dian, Gary and many nieces and nephews.  According to Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 22, 2009 at W.L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. Mary Cathedral, 615 Hoyt.  Fr.
