Vincent Urbytes, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Lutheran Home Frankenmuth. Age 101 years. Vincent A. Urbytes was born on April 10, 1908 in Holytown, Scotland to the late Anthony and Margaret Urbytes. He was married to Katherine Schmidt on June 10, 1934 in Saginaw. She predeased him on January 19, 2000. Vincent had been employed by Saginaw Chevrolet Transmission. He retired in 1968 after more than 35 years of service. Vincent was a member of the former St. James Lutheran Church and later became a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Surviving are two children: David (Carol) Urbytes of Saginaw, Suzanne Hall of Birch Run, daughter-in-law, Donna Urbytes of Tucson AZ.; seven grandchildren: Mitchell (Susan) Urbytes of Holland, Darrin (Cristine) Urbytes of Frankenmuth, Trenton Urbytes of Clarkston, Martin Hall of Richville, Philip Hall (Shawna) of Frankenmuth, Erik Hall of Carrollton and Cynthia Pagan of Crown Point IN.; five great-grandchildren: Zachary Urbytes, Meghan Urbytes, Alec Urbytes, Elliot Urbytes and Reagan Urbytes. Vincent was preceded in death by his son, Donald Urbytes and granddaughter Michelle Free. Vincent’s funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss. Pastor Charles F. Buckhahn will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:30 a.m. service.
