Anna E. Tolloff, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Luther Manor Nursing Home, age 92 years. Anna E. Heinitz was born December 4, 1916 in Wisner to the late Mathew E. and Pearl H. (Myers) Heinitz. She was married to John Tolloff on October 14, 1939. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1974. Anna was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Zilwaukee. She had been employed by Morley Brothers and retired in 1979. Anna is survived by her children: John R. (Ellen) Tolloff of Reese, Carol (Dennis) Hammond of Frankenmuth and Sandra (Mike) McAfee, of Arizona; six grandchildren: Karen Tolloff of Chicago, IL, Barbara (Kage) Butcher of Midland, Heidi (Shane) Francis of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Paul (Jessica) Tolloff of Humble, TX, Brent (Bonnie) Sperling of Gaithersberg, MD, and Michael (Heather) McAfee of Port Huron, MI; 11 great grandchildren: Kirsten, Nikolas, Jenna and Addison Butcher, Blake, Dillon and Ella Francis, Madeline Sperling, Norwood, Makayla and Corey McAfee. Her sisters, Dorthy Weisenberg and Bernice Davis, preceded her in death. A funeral service for Anna will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 318 S. Franklin St., Zilwaukee. Pastor Philipp A. Lehmann will officiate. Private burial will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
