Mrs. Jennie Souffrin, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Tendercare Saginaw. Age 86 years. The daughter of the late Harry and Minnie Kinzer, Jennie was born December 26, 1922 in Bronx, New York. She married Jules V. Souffrin on June 22, 1950. He predeceased her September 18, 2000. Jennie was of the Jewish faith.   Surviving are two children and their spouses, Dennis and Joan Souffrin, Saginaw; Linda and Edwin Rivera, Bayamon, Puerto Rico; five grandchildren, Brian (Jenny) Souffrin, Andrea (Jeff) Mesojedec, Anna LaTarte, Edwin Jules (Barbara) Rivera and Michelle (Osmael) Rodrigues; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillie Hansberg, Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Morris (Jackie) Kinzer, Boyhton Beach, Florida; several nieces and nephews. Jennie was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Sapolnick.  Jennie’s family extends their special thanks to Tendercare Nursing Home and their staff, especially the aides, for the great care she received for the nine years she lived there.   Honoring Mrs. Souffrin’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
