Gary C. Schultz, Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Age 63 years. Son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Wachowski) Schultz, Gary was born February 15, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Middlesex. He married Diane S. Nikolai on May 27 1967. She survives him. Gary was employed as an electrician at G.M. Delphi retiring in December of 2006. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and U.A.W. Local #699. Gary enjoyed model railroading, driving his corvette, watching football, listening to Polka’s and especially his family.  Surviving besides his wife Diane are four sons, two daughters and their spouses, Mark and Cristine Schultz, Saginaw; Kurt and Kelly Schultz, Saginaw; Matthew and Laurena Schultz, Caledonia; Jennifer Schultz, Saginaw; Patrick and Audra Schultz, Saginaw; Kristy Schultz, Saginaw; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer A. Schultz, Saginaw; 11 grandchildren and two angels on their way; three sisters, Susan and Steve Kowalski, Hemlock; Shari and Robert Blake, Traverse City; Cindy LaFramboise, Greenville; mother-in-law, Gizella Nikolai, Saginaw; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his eldest son, Brian C. Schultz, his father-in-law, Chris Nikolai and brother-in-law, Gregg LaFromboise.  Funeral Liturgy will take place at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. James Heller will officiate. Military Service and entombment took place in St. Andrew Mausoleum.
