Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Cartwright Hospice Residence.  Age 67 years.  Peter Sanchez was born January 10, 1942 in Saginaw to the late Jose L. and Tomasa (Cruz) Sanchez.  He was married to Maria D. Miramontes on June 4, 1977 in Saginaw.  She survives him.  Peter was employed by General Motor Malleable Iron Plant as a skilled tradesman for 36 years until his retirement in 1999.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Peter was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He held many different offices with the U.A.W. Local 455 including treasurer.  Besides his loving wife Maria, Peter is survived by three daughters and three sons: Regina (Jesus) Medina, Michael (Ernestine) Sanchez of Denver, Colorado, Robert (Karina) Soto III, Catalina Soto, Rosalinda (Arthur) Amador and Ray Anthony Sanchez; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters: Tony (Mary Villanueva) Martinez of Nappanee, Indiana, Tom Sanchez of Austin, Texas, Frank (Mary Lou Ochoa) Sanchez, Connie Delgado and Jennie Martinez of Biddeford, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.  Peter is predeceased by his first wife; Olga (Rivera) Sanchez; two sisters: Esther Rodriguez and Isabel Luna.  Peter’s Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 903 N. 6th St.  Rev. Fr. Daniel Anholzer OFMCap will officiate.  According to Peter’s wishes cremation will follow the funeral service.  Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.  A Vigil Service honoring Peter will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Please share your thoughts and memories at the funeral home, church or through
