Wayne R. Roeglin, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 at University of Michigan Medical Center. Age 75 years. Wayne R. Roeglin was born on September 16, 1933 in Saginaw to the late Charles and Barbara (Lindauer) Roeglin. He married Laurine Pietsch on November 24, 1962 in Saginaw, MI. She survives him. Wayne was employed by M. Curry Corporation until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Wayne was a passionate fisherman, he loved deer hunting, was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping and traveling.  Surviving besides his wife of 46 years, Laurine are four children, Bonnie (Ed) Gustafson of South Bend, IN, Dan (Jane) Rose of Saginaw, MI, David (Kathie) Roeglin of Ludington, MI, and Pat (John) Collison of Grand Rapids, MI; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Schneider and Arlene Lee, both of Saginaw, MI. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.  Wayne was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Richard Roeglin and two sisters, Helen Koboldt and Ruth Wellman.  Wayne’s Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd (off State). Pastor Stephen Schilke will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
