Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Age 92.  “Woody” as he was known by friends was born March 15, 1917 in Big Stone Gap, VA, the son of Peter and Zoe Reasor. During World War II he served in the Algeria French Moroccan Campaign.  Honorably discharged in October 1945 from the U.S. Army, he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.  On October 7, 1950 he married Lucille Guldenzoph. She predeceased him.  A farmer by trade, Reasor is survived by several nieces and nephews.  These include  Paul Guldenzoph, Newport, NY; Patricia Schachtner, Las Vegas, NV; Daniel Guldenzoph, Kalamazoo, MI;  Janice Merriam, Thomas Guldenzoph and Robert Guldenzoph, all of Saginaw, MI.  The last ten years of Woody’s life were spent at Luther Manor, where he was known for his love of the Tigers, a game of cards, and tending the plants and gardens. Woody championed the needs of others and gained the admiration of both residents and staff.  According to his wishes cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2009 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road.  Fr. John Mancini and Rev. Doug Kahl will officiate with the burial of ashes to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the service.  Those planning to express sympathy may wish to consider either Lutheran Social Services of Michigan or St. Simon & St. Jude Parish.  www.casefuneralhome.com
