Lyle E. Pacholke, Saginaw, Michigan

Loving husband, father and grandfather was called home to his Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at the Caretel Inns, Bay City, Mich.  Lyle was born on June 12, 1926 in Bay City, son of the late Edward and Alma (Ruhlig) Pacholke.  He married Janet Mae Schwalbe on September 6, 1952.  She survives him.  Prior to his retirement in 1982, Lyle was employed at Grey Iron Foundry for 28 years.  He also worked on the family farm since 1952.  Lyle loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  Surviving besides his wife, Janet, are their four children and their spouses, Paula (Michel) Dumont, Whitmore Lake; Mark (Wendy) Pacholke, Freeland; Susan Pacholke, Saginaw; Matthew (Kerry) Pacholke, Sanford; 10 grandchildren: Emilie and Andrew Dumont, Ashley and Natalie Pacholke, Brian, Alan, Daniel, and Collin Fritch, and Katie and Adam Pacholke; two nieces and one nephew, Marilyn Bloomfield, and Janice Sowatsky; James Hetzner.  He was predeceased by one brother and one sister, Leroy Pacholke and Mildred Hetzner.  Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway, Saginaw.  The Rev. Mark P. Buckert will officiate with burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.  Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., then at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, City Rescue Mission, or Gideon Bible.  Memories and sympathies may be shared with the family online at www.wakemanfuneralhome.com.
