Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2009. Age 58 years. Sheila A. Vetterle was born February 4, 1951 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late John H. and Viola L. (Burmeister) Vetterle. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1970. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert E. Ott, on October 28, 1972; he survives her. She was a life-long member of the First Christian Church, West, and participated in its Women’s Fellowship and the choir. She enjoyed camping, baking and playing games of all sorts. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, who called her “Nana.” Surviving besides her husband are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Jim “Jimmy” Craig, Bridgeport, and Jennifer and Nicholas Rose, East Tawas; two grandsons, Zachary and Tyler Rose; one step-grandson, Conner Craig; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Mary Vetterle, and Johnny and Betty Vetterle; one brother-in-law, Michael Miller; her mother-in-law, Bonnie Ott; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Cathy Ott, Delma and Don Bryce, Judy and Joe Galonska, and Joe and Julie Ott; many nieces, nephews, and their families; aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her mother, she was predeceased by two children, Bobby and Tracy Ott, her sister, Sharon Miller, her father-in-law, Leonard Ott, and a brother-in-law, Danny Ott. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at the First Christian Church, West, 5545 McCarty Road. Pastor Barbara Pratt will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and then at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
