Albert F. “Frank” Noack, Traverse City, MI, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away at the age of 86 years at Munson Medical Center comforted by his loving family. Frank was born September 1, 1922, in Peveley, Missouri to the late Gustave and Laura (Schraer) Noack. He was later raised by his step-mother the late Bertha (Steinmeyer) Noack. He married Norma Heasley in 1945, she survives him. Frank worked for General Motors in Saginaw for 37 years retiring in 1982 from the Chevrolet Parts Plant. He was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed bird hunting in the fall. He also enjoyed wood-working and making furniture for his family and friends, gardening and traveling to the many orchards in Traverse City to pick local fruits and berries. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Norma; sons, David (Diane) Noack and Tom (Carolyn) Noack; grandchildren, Benjamin, Laura (Josh) Baker, Christine and Victoria; siblings, Ralph (Patricia) Noack, Richard (Becky) Noack, Arlon (Valerie) Noack, Erna Weiss, Grace (Gary) Russell and Dorothy Noack; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Elmer (Lillian) Noack, Arthur (Erna) Noack and Donald (Karleen) Noack; and brother-in-law, Orlin Weiss. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Robert Lakey will officiate with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
