Passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009. Age 47 years. He was born May 26, 1962 in Saginaw and graduated from SS. Peter and Paul High School, Class of 1981. He lived for basketball and was chosen All State for two years while at SS. Peter and Paul. He was co-owner of the Scottish Inn for twenty-five years. He enjoyed golf, presently having every golf gadget available to man. He was a member of the Y.M.C.A. for over twenty-five years and a member of the Sawmill Golf Club and Germania Town and Country Club. Jimmy is survived by his mother, Jean (Ken) Williams, St. Charles, MI; three brothers and a sister, Bryan and Robert Niven, both of Saginaw, MI; John Niven, Swartz Creek, MI; Kimberly (Scott) Wohlfeil, Hemlock, MI; his nieces and nephew, Alexis, Jaimee and Nikolas Wohlfeil; and many special friends, one of whom is Dyanna Llamas of Saginaw, MI. Jim was predeceased by his father, James Ross Niven III. The funeral liturgy will take place at Noon Saturday, November 28, 2009, at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. William Taylor will officiate with entombment in St. Andrew Mausoleum. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 409 Adams St. from 1:00-9:00 p.m. Friday and then at the Church from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
