Minnich, John M. "Jack", Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 79 years. John M. Minnich was born on March 27, 1930 to the late Harold and Beatrice Minnich. He was employed at Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry for thirty-seven years.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, traveling, reading and playing cards.  Most of all, John loved the time he spent with his grandchildren.  Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy: three daughters: Kaye McGregor, Janet (David) Roselle and Anne Geminhardt; four grandchildren: Zachary and Carly Roselle, Trisha and Jacob Geminhardt; one sister, Ellen Kroah; one brother, James Minnich; and several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his son, Dale Minnich and his brother Robert Minnich. Honoring John's wishes cremation has taken place.  John's Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).  Pastor R.B. Ouellette will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. memorial service.  In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw Rescue Mission, 1021 Burt St., Saginaw, MI 48607.
