Mary Sue Atkinson, Saginaw, Michigan
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend went home to be with her Saviour, Friday, May 29, 2009. Age 77 years. Mary Sue Grady was born October 27, 1931 to the late Alma (Lively) and Louis Grady. She came to Michigan in May of 1952. She had been employed by Lufkin Rule and also Means Stamping Co. She married Billy Ray Atkinson in Saginaw, MI. He survives her. She was a member of Anchor of Hope Christian Church(Church of God). Surviving besides her husband, Billy, are one daughter, three sons, Saundra Carpenter, Bay City, MI; Wayne Carpenter and his wife, Sue; Larry Atkinson; Ronnie Atkinson and his wife, Kathie, all of Saginaw, MI; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson; a sister, Betty Stricklin, Saginaw, MI; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Carpenter, a grandson, Justin Carpenter, four sisters, Patricia Lusher and Marjorie Fry both of Saginaw, Masil Johnson and Sonja Hill of West Virginia. The funeral service will take place at Noon Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Anchor of Hope Church, 3401 Hemmeter Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Al Christina and Rev. Richard C. Popard will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral chapel from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Monday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
