Mr. Ralph Ladebauche Jr., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center. Age 76 years. The son of the late Ralph J.E. and Lillian Lapine-Dubey Ladebauche, Ralph was born December 10, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from St. Mary Cathedral High School in 1952 and from Citrus College in Azusa, California in 1965. Ralph served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956 and retired from the Naval Reserves after 28 years of service. Ralph married Ann Wascher on July 13, 1957 in Owosso, Michigan. She predeceased him September 9, 2006. Ralph was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the National Association of Letter Carriers (Branch #74), American Legion Post #439, Knights of Columbus Council #4232 and the Msgr. Thomas R. Horton Assembly #2049. Ralph was charter President of the Saginaw West Lions Club International and recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow Award.  Surviving are two children, Russell Ladebauche, Saginaw; Diane and Richard Tolles, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan and Jessica Waters, Jacob and Reanna Ladebauche; three sisters, Lois Edlinger, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Ruth and John Callahan, Saginaw; JoAnn Davidson, Logansport, Indiana; a brother-in-law, Marvin Long, Gladwin; several nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ladebauche, a sister, Lillian (Lee) Long, and by a brother-in-law, Jim Davidson.  Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner and Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate. Following the Liturgy, American Legion Post #439 will render military honors outside the church. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Henderson, Michigan. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at Holy Family Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. There will be a Prayer Service 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Lions Club International Foundation or Holy Family Catholic Church.  A person is never truly dead, so long as a single person has some knowledge or remembrance of them. Not everyone understood Ralph’s humor, but it was the mainstay of his personality. In memory of Ralph, please do a kindness to someone without acknowledgment.
