An article describing her highest award reads: Hemlock Woman’s Winning Picture In Kodak Contest Exhibit: An award-winning picture, taken by Mary C. Kricher, is on display in The Equitable Gallery in New York City, through Feb. 19, 1981, as part of a presentation of nearly 1,000 finalists in the Kodak International Newspaper Snapshot Awards (KINSA). It won a certificate of merit. The exhibit includes the winners of local summer contests conducted by 175 newspapers in the United States, Canada and Mexico with more than 385,000 entries. Miss Kricher, a student cook at Crown Amusements, entered a photo of a black and white silhouette of a young boy and dog on a dock. It was a winner in The Saginaw News’ summer snapshot contest and as such was submitted to the international competition. The Equitable Gallery is at 1285 Avenue of the Americas. Surviving are her mother, Anonitte Kricher; brothers Al (Julie) Kricher, Hemlock, Greg (Sandi) Kricher, Saginaw, and Mike (Tonya) Kricher, Wheeler; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A special thanks to Aunt Agnes for all of her help. Mary was preceded in death by her father Albert Kricher in 1985. Cremation has taken place. Her family will receive friends at the W. L.
