Mrs. Wanda A. Kosinski, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late John and Hedwig (Grzesiak) Pochopien, Wanda was born June 30, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Casimer E. Kosinski on January 19, 1946. He predeceased her August 27, 1983. Wanda was a longtime member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary and the League of Catholic Women.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and her trips to the casino.  Surviving are four daughters, one son and their spouses, Christine and Michael Slominski, Saginaw; Mary McGregor, Bridgeport; Jane Ellen Krabler, Bozeman, Montana; John and Julie Kosinski, Bay City; Dorothy Kosinski, Seattle, Washington; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Chester and Tassie Pochopien, Saginaw; a sister-in-law, Norma Pochopin, Mesa, Arizona; several nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her brother, Ted Pochopin, and a sister, Helen Sienko.  Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.  A Vigil Service, led by Audrey Wilson, Pastoral Associate, will take place 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Stephen Catholic Church, St. Louis Center (Residence for Developmentally Disabled People), Children's Zoo at Celebration Square or the charity of their choice.
