Laurence Marvin Hickey Jr., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 05, 2009 at Covenant - Harrison. Age 55 years. He was born June 25, 1953 in Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1971. He also attended Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University. He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was an accomplished artist. He had been employed as a graphic designer and artist for Delphi and was also employed by the US Postal Service. He married Linda J. Pike on December 19, 1974; she survives him. He also leaves one daughter, Kimberly and her husband Jeff Roberts; one son, Joseph Hickey; two grandchildren, Hunter and Eliza; two sisters, two brothers and their spouses, Laurann Hickey, Paul (Sherry) Hickey, Geoffrey Hickey, and Nancy Neiderquill; many nieces, nephews and their families; also his mother-in-law, Jean Pike. He was predeceased by his parents, Laurence M. Hickey Sr. and JoAnn (Trayer) Hickey; one brother, Dennis Hickey; and his father-in-law, Charles Pike. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot, where his family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of service.
