DeMaet, Sally Ann, Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at her home on Sunday, December 27, 2009. Age 74 years.  The daughter of the late George and Leona (Jaenicke) Miller, Sally Ann was born on June 5, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She married Donald DeMaet, her loving husband of 55 years, on September 4, 1954. He survives her. Sally Ann retired as a Unit Secretary from Saginaw General Hospital.  She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, camping, canning, gardening and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Surviving besides her husband Donald are three sons and two daughters and their spouses, Janice and Michael Buska, Saginaw; Gregory and Patricia DeMaet, Saginaw; Steve and Mary DeMaet, Holland; Ron and Wendy DeMaet, Rockford, Michigan; Karleen and Jeffrey Helmreich, Freeland; 13 grandchildren, Beth (Will) Cederberg, Laurie Buska, Danielle and Erica DeMaet, Renee, Scott, Rachael, Tim and Adrianna DeMaet, Kate, Abby and Veronica DeMaet, Cole Helmreich; one great-grandson, Landen Cederberg; and one angel on the way; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Janette Miller.  Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.  Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery.  Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
