Daniel Richard Connell III
Passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Covenant – Cooper at the age of 79 years. He was born July 27, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Alice Lillian (Krupke) and Daniel Richard Connell II. He graduated from Notre Dame and then received his law degree from Indiana University. After coming to Saginaw from Indiana, he was a chief assistant city attorney and following that a chief assistant prosecuting attorney. He practiced law in the Saginaw area for 40 years and also taught Economics at Valparaiso University, Indiana University, SVSU, and Delta College. He was a life-member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beverly Connell; one daughter, Maureen (Michael) Rynish, Selkirk, New York; one son, Thomas B. Connell, Reno, Nevada; a step-daughter, Tynia Renner, Saginaw. He was predeceased by his brother, John Connell. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
