Frank A. Card, Merrill, MI

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Friday, July 3, 2009, at his home. Age 59 years. He was born January 2, 1950 in Saginaw, the son of the late Henry and Rosalie (Ballien) Card, moving to Merrill as a young child. He graduated from Merrill High School Class of 1968. He engaged in farming all of his life, and was formerly a co-owner of Card Brothers Equipment. He enjoyed working on tractors and machinery. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Iva. He also enjoyed fishing. He married Kay Ann Schultz on August 9, 1969; she survives him. He also leaves one son, one daughter, and their spouses, Jamie and Kathy Card, Potterville; Suzanne and Bill Carroll, Merrill; three grandchildren, Clayton Card, Allyssa and Elizabeth Carroll; one sister, Alice and Jerry Schmidt, Alanson; a sister-in-law, Carol Card, Merrill; a brother-in-law, Tom and Roberta Schultz, Merrill; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Clarence Card. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Road near Iva Road. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw, Merrill, from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday and then at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
