Edward G. Bradley Sr., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Friday, September 4, 2009. Age 94 years. Edward George Bradley was born December 4, 1914 in Bay City, Michigan to George and Alma (Bloom) Bradley. He married Florence Smalley on November 4, 1934. She survives him. They would have celebrated 75 years of marriage. Mr. Bradley was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He served his country with the U.S. Navy SeaBees during World War Two, stationed in Saipan and Okinawa. He built homes in the Saginaw area before working at the Saginaw Water Plant, retiring in 1980. In 1959, he bought property in northern Michigan and developed it over a number of years into a dream lake home for his family. Surviving besides his wife, he leaves his son Edward D. Bradley, Jr., four grandchildren; Brian (Holly) Bradley, Dean Bradley, Richard (Joan) Bradley and Stephanie Sterbanz; seven great grandchildren; Heather, Bethany, Jeffrey, Amanda, Rich, Brittney and Sara, one great grandson, a daughter-in-law Mary Bradley, a sister Charlotte Taylor, one sister-in-law Ethel Smith, and many other loving family members and friends. Ed was predeceased by a son Richard Bradley, and a daughter-in-law Katherine Bradley. Funeral service took place Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church 4432 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Michael Hahn officiated. Memorial offerings may be given to Faith Lutheran Church.
