Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle went home to be with his Lord and be reunited with his beautiful wife, Mary on Wednesday, October 14, 2009.  Lester Emil Bluemer was born in Merrill, Michigan, on July 15, 1920, to the late Emil and Hattie (Kade) Bluemer.  He graduated from Merrill High School at the age of sixteen.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945, advancing to the rank of Technician Grade 5.  He bravely fought in WWII in Southern France, Central Europe and on the beach at Anzio.  He was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 5 bronze stars and 1 bronze arrowhead.  Upon discharge he began his long career as a salesman in the wholesale foods industry with Symons Brothers in Saginaw, MI, then with Tanner & Daly and later with UBC.  While at Symons, he met Mary Clayton, the wonderful woman who would touch his heart and become his wife on April 27, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Iva.  They were married for 60 years and had three daughters.  Mary predeceased Les on May 11, 2006.  They had many adventures together.  They enjoyed family outings, golf, polka dancing and socializing with their many friends.  From 1976 to 1985 they owned and operated the Unique Boutique in Frankenmuth, MI.  After “Retirement”, Les worked for many years as the manager of Lawndale Estates and took pride in helping to “get things done”.  His personality made him easy to befriend and his sense of humor was his trademark.  Les is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Janice and Don Ector, Darlene and Mike McComb, and Vicki Coulouris, all of Saginaw; his grandchildren, Jeff (Kristi) Ector, Rob Ector, Jim (Aimee) Ector, Shelley (Dave) Waclo, Scott (Chrissie) McComb, Brian (Michelle) McComb, Andy (Natasha) Coulouris, and Ann Coulouris; and seven great-grandchildren, Samantha and Madison Ector, Benjamin Schroeder and Michael McComb, Meghan, Jacob and Brendan McComb and Alexandra and Mia Coulouris.  Les is also survived by one brother, Donald (Debbie) Bluemer, Mesa, AZ; three sisters, Frieda Laucher, Washington, PA, Carol (Jim) Dietrich, Merrill, MI, and Betty McCracken, Saginaw, MI.  He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Violet Bluemer, Midland, MI and Mary Jane Clayton, Mio, MI  and four brothers-in-law, Alfred Clayton, Edward Clayton, Leo (Carla) Clayton and Paul Clayton all of Saginaw, and many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends.  In addition to his parents, Les was predeceased by one sister, Norine Rieder, two brothers, Arno Bluemer and Marvin Bluemer, two sisters-in-law, Alice Bluemer and Bessie Clayton and four brothers-in-law, Fred Rieder, Joe Laucher, George Clayton and Lem Clayton.  Our Dad was always in our corner and he taught us how to ride a bike, swing a bat, drive a car, start a savings account, play Euchre, and appreciate family.  But most of all, our Dad loved us dearly.  We will miss him with all our hearts.  Service to celebrate Lester’s life, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009, St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 N.
