Wiltse, Milton D., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 87 years. The son of the late Clair and Alvira (Harris) Wiltse, Milton was born November 28, 1927 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy. Milton married Leona Irene Kirby on December 21, 1946. She predeceased him February 20, 2005. Milton was employed as a master machinist for many years at Gouldingís Manufacturing and Wilsonís Manufacturing until his retirement. He will be remembered for his loving and caring ways, a quick smile and for making people laugh. Surviving are three daughters, one son and their spouses, Nikki and Donald Smith, Saginaw; Gaye and Gregory Sass, Saginaw; Jeff and Brenda Wiltse, Baltic, South Dakota; Lynne and Ken Thiel, Dundee, Michigan; 11 grandchildren, Adam, Sean, Ryan, Troy (Nikki) Smith, Christopher (Wendy) Sass, Kimberly Sass, Jeff (Brenda) Wiltse, Alan, Amanda and Anna Wiltse, Lynne (Ken) Thiel, Chelsea (Mike) Pavuk, Ashlyn (Devon) Roe; five great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Carol Schaeding, Chester and Bernice Rahn; several nieces and nephews. Milton was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and by a dear friend, Bill Pringle, whose friendship brightened his days. Miltonís family extends their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Covenant Medical Center Cooper-5 Main for their exceptional care to their dad in his final days. Honoring Mr. Wiltseís wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
