Tomczak, Gilbert W. "Butch", Zilwaukee, Michigan

Passed away Monday June 8, 2015. Age 73 years. Gilbert W. Tomczak was born June 16, 1941 to Chester and Gladys (Finkbeiner) Tomczak. They predeceased him. He married Patricia A. LaFramboise June 1, 1963. She predeceased him February 3, 2013. Gilbert was a member of Old Town Christian Outreach Center. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Butch retired from General Motors after more than 40 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, starting two fishing lure companies, and was known as "Mr. Fix-It". Surviving are his children: Gary Tomczak, Debra-Sue (Paul) Lopez, Lisa Pender, and Todd (Becky) Tomczak; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his sister Rita McMahan; a dear friend, Gwen Winiecke; and many other loving family members and friends. Gil was predeceased by his sister, Wani Stachowiak, and his daughter Jennifer-Jo in 1970. Rev. Don Dinninger and Rev. Bill Bodnar will officiate the funeral service on Saturday June 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Old Town Christian Outreach Center, 600 Gratiot Ave. Military honors will be observed at the church. The family welcomes friends to visit at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on Friday June 12, 2015 from 3-8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday one hour before the service.
