Sikora, Henry R., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare Harrison. Age 78 years. The son of the late Joseph and Julia (Baldys) Sikora, Henry was born December 23, 1936 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Shirley Mavis on June 24, 1960 and would have celebrated 54 years of marriage later this month. She survives him. Henry was employed at Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry for 40 years until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of North American Pattern Makers and Moose Family Center #82. Henry enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, gardening, wood working and fishing and loved time spent with family and friends. Surviving besides his wife Shirley are two daughters and their spouses, Bonnie and Michael Vinson, Haslett; Sue and Jeff Boughton, Waverly Hall, Georgia; five grandchildren, Paul (Crystal), Chad, Joseph, Zackery and Kimberly; three great-grandchildren, Heather, Amber and Aiden; a brother, Vincent Sikora, Texas; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Sikora; several nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Sikora. Funeral service will take place on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road. Rev. Charles Buckhahn will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
