Pigeault, Helen E., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved aunt and friend passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 97 years. The daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Jones) Mortin, Helen was born on January 30, 1918 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Valmore Pigeault on September 17, 1949. He predeceased her on June 24, 1978. Helen had been employed for many years at St. Rita Catholic Church. She was a member of St. John Paul II Parish-St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Helen was a Parcel Post Clerk for Sugar Beet Products for 29 years until her retirement. She was a former Vice-President of Pulaski Club Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to dance, play the piano, entertain guests and was a member of the Washington Club and the Falcons Club. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Nicole Pigeault, Michelle Pigeault, Zane DeForest and Michael DeForest. Helen was preceded in death by her longtime companion Herman Rindhage. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. John Paul II Catholic Church-St. Josaphat site, 469 Shattuck Rd. Rev. Fr. James Bessert will officiate with entombment in Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, where the family will be present on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Vigil Service, led by Sr. Christine Gretka CSJ, will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
