Lisik, Loretta "Sally", St. Charles, Michigan

Passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Cartwright Hospice Residence in Saginaw. Age 92 years. She was born January 8, 1923 in Saginaw to George and Laura LaPan. Sally married Joseph Lisik on February 14, 1943. He preceded her on October 5, 1999. Sally worked for many years at Stan’s Market in St. Charles and was always a caregiver for anyone who needed her. She also worked hard at home and canned tomatoes every summer, even last year and shoveled her own driveway this past winter. Sally lived in her home until recently and then moved into Edgewood Assisted Living with her Katie Kat, where she received excellent care and continued to help others. The family would like to thank the staff at Edgewood Assisted Living and the Cartwright Residence for their loving care. Surviving are two sons, a daughter and spouses, Stanley (Suzanne) Lisik, Philip (Virginia) Lisik and Christine (Robert) Wend; grandchildren, Nancy (Glen) Bixby, Renae (Tony) Irwin, Lance (Katrina) Lisik, Bryce (Marti) Lisik, Courtney (Brian) Schmitt, Mitchell (Angela) Wend and Chad (Shannon) Wend; eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Louis and Dave LaPan and a special sister-in-law, Sylvia Lisik. Sally was preceded by three sisters, Faye Hall, Yula Honeman, and Betty Porritt and two brothers, George and Jack LaPan. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. Rev. Ernesto Mariona will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
