Keturakat, Winfried W. “Bud”, Alma, Michigan

Passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in Alma. Age 95 years. Bud was born February 3, 1920, to the Rev. William D. and Marie E. (Mueller) Keturakat in Hamburg, Wisconsin. He was brought to faith as an infant through Holy Baptism and later confirmed that faith as a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Bud graduated from Northwestern Prep School and attended Northwestern Lutheran College in Watertown, Wisconsin. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alma. After joining the service in 1942 Bud served our country for four years as a Staff Sergeant in the Military Police of the United States Army. He is a lifelong member of the American Legion. Bud worked at Lever Brothers as a manager of Advertising; at John Deere, Studebaker, and B.F. Goodrich as office manager; and at Armstrong Tires for 23 years as District Manager/Account Executive. He enjoyed meeting daily with his coffee group. Bud was married to Florence Hull in 1969. She preceded him in death in 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Keturakat. He is survived by a daughter Mary Jo (Mark) Swanson; two granddaughters; brother-in-law, Bob Freitag; a nephew and two nieces. Also surviving are John and Valerie Hull, Mike and Lynn Hull, Jim and Carrie Hull, Tim and Ann Hull, Doug Hull, Candace Hull, Sue and Jeff Baker, Sid and Cheryl Hull, Brian Hull, Ardis Hull, Darci and Gary Honaman and Bernadette Stewart. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor John Eich officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, Bud wishes support to Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Saginaw.
