Kapuscinski, Bernard E., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center. Age 79 years. Son of the late Julian and Fidelis (LaBrash) Kapuscinski, Bernard was born November 3, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Ann E. Emerick on April 12, 1958. She survives him. Bernard was owner and operator of Kap’s Painting and Decorating. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He was also a member of the NRA. Bernard enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, watching birds and was an avid reader especially in American History. Surviving besides his wife Ann are three daughters and one son, Mary and Rod Armstrong, Michael and Karen Kapuscinski, Rita and Greg Mosley, Beth Kapuscinski; four grandchildren, Brian and Christine Armstrong, Kayla and Andrew George, Kristen Armstrong, Gregory Kapuscinski; two great-grandchildren, Liam George and Reece Armstrong; one sister, Margaret and Jim Harris and his twin sister, Bernadette Kapuscinski; one brother, Tom and Sue Kapuscinski; a sister-in-law, Colleen Kapuscinski; many nieces and nephews. Bernard was preceded in death by his son, Greg A. Kapuscinski, his sister, Mary Louise Martin and one brother, James Kapuscinski. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly and Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00-7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
