Hozeska, Thomas E., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away suddenly Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his home. Age 77 years. Son of the late Alexander and Margaret (Carter) Hozeska, Thomas was born June 8, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Theresa Prokop his loving wife of 50 years, on May 30, 1964. She survives him. Tom was an engineer for Baker Perkins for 25 years then went to Saginaw Machine for another 24 years retiring in 2001. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Tom’s passion was his children and his grandchildren and always lending a helping hand to anyone. Surviving besides his wife Theresa are three sons, Charles and Jennifer Hozeska, California; Thomas and Louise Hozeska, Kentucky; Jonathan and Carrie Hozeska, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Jenna, Basil, Linus, Olivia and Josephine; one brother, Robert Hozeska; two sisters-in-law, Olga Hozeska and Marianne Prokop; several nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by two brothers, Roland and Donald Hozeska and brother-in-law, Charles Prokop. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Steven M. Gavit will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
