Duby, Ronald Lee, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 79 years. The son of the late Napoleon and Lila (McMillan) Duby, Ron was born on October 9, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Gail Ann McCallum on January 16, 1960. She predeceased him April 23, 2007. Ron was employed as a supervisor for General Motors for 30 years retiring in 1989. He enjoyed traveling with Gail, especially to Northern Michigan. Ron was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Moose Family Center #82. He loved music and played both the organ and guitar. Ron was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, two daughters and their spouses, Jim and Paula Duby, Freeland; John Duby, Saginaw; Vicki Bierlein (Steve Miller), Hemlock; Dianne and Bob Marecek, Freeland; seven grandchildren, John (Rebecca) Evenson, Adam Duby, Jamie Duby (Hayes Hall), Amanda (David) Patton, Jacob Bierlein, Kristin (Jonas) Berlin and Cody Marecek; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Cameron, Zachary, Emma and Chloe; three brothers, Allan Duby, James and Gerda Duby; several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Duby. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road. Rev. Fr. Robert DeLand will officiate with entombment to follow in Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
