Dolloff, Dorothy Lorraine, Alma, Michigan

Passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at her home. Age 82 years. Dorothy was born in Owosso the daughter of Dean and Pauline (Halker) Fisher. She was a 1950 graduate of Alma High School. Dorothy was awarded a scholarship to the Interlochen Fine Arts Academy. She was an accomplished singer and directed the community choir for many years. Dorothy also played the organ. She worked as a legal secretary for local judges and law offices. She enjoyed spending summers on Crystal Lake. She loved life, people and her Detroit Tigers. Dorothy is survived by her children Michael Dolloff of Alma, Susan Carty of Tucson, AZ., Steven Dolloff of Alma, six grandchildren Cmdr. Eric (Kate) Ward of Washington D.C., Ryan, Kevin, Logan, Shannon Carty all of Tucson, AZ., Terra Ulrich of Alma and two great grandchildren Curry and Kenny Ward. Also siblings Shirley (Lee) Grandy of Midland, Douglas (Donna) Fisher of Midland, Martha (Elmer) Johnson of Alma, Rosemary Fisher of Alma, Charles (Carmen) Fisher of St. Louis, Peggy (Dan) Mikek of St. Louis, Mary Ruth (Mike) Reichard of St. Louis and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Russel Fisher, brother Leonard “Joe” Fisher and former spouse Charles Dolloff. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the East Superior Christian Church with Pastor Jim Amstutz officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Superior Christian Church.
