Colligan, James E., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison Campus. Age 81 years. Son of the late James E. and Maxine (Gould) Colligan Sr. James was born August 25, 1933 in Muskegon, Michigan. He was married to Arline Goslin in June of 1957. She predeceased him April 21, 1977. He then married Agnes A. D’Amelio on June 10, 1978. She survives him. Jim was employed at Johnson Control as a sales engineer for 39 years. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, an usher at the church and member of Knights of Columbus Council #4232. Jim was also a member of the Foresters. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife Agnes are two daughters and five sons, Colleen Colligan, Novi; Peter and Sherry Colligan, Indianapolis, Indiana; Jim and Tanya Colligan III, Montrose, California; Renee and Kevin Major, Garden City; Mike Colligan, Fort Myers, Florida; Doug and Mary Beth Reams, Freeland; Dan and Terri Reams, Saginaw Twp.; 11 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Aquila, Alesia, Michael, Gaaelya, Samantha, James, Katie, Emily, Alison and Hannah; one sister, Colleen and Collin Fry, Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. J. Marcel Portelli will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or the Foresters.
