Cmach, Michael L. “Goldy”, Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Age 66 years. Son of the late Daniel and Phyllis (Rice) Huskins, Michael was born December 9, 1948 in Flint, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a life member of V.F.W. Post # 1859 and D.A.V. Chapter #4. He married Dana M. Beelman on November 9, 1979. She survives him. Mike retired from Saginaw Grey Iron - Power Train. Mike was a member of Gold Wing Touring Club. He enjoyed building hot rods, fishing, biking and especially being with his family. Surviving besides his loving wife Dana are one son and two daughters, Troy (Chareese) Cmach, Saginaw; Jenny Weir (Darrell), Merrill; Amy Wrege (Butch), Freeland; six grandchildren, Daxdin, Cadin, Brendin , Brady, Bailey and Joshua; his sister, Kathy Huskins, Colorado; his sister-in-law, Lori Erskin (Ed), Saginaw; a brother-in-law, Jay Beelman (Dionne), Saginaw; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and very special friends. Mike was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan James. A special thanks to his caregivers at the U. of M. Hospital and Heartland Health Care, especially Maria. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 7 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road. Juanita Hadley will officiate with Military Services conducted by V.F.W. Post #1859. Private burial will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the D.A.V.
