Brush, Maybelle J., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 at Meadowview Manor. Age 86 years. Daughter of the late Elmer and Emily (Aubry) Janke, Maybelle was born March 21, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a 1946 graduate of Saginaw High School. Maybelle was married to Clifford W. Brush in 1948. He predeceased her in 1973. Maybelle was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone Co and retired from AT & T. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Red Hats, Telephone Pioneers, and enjoyed a monthly card club with high school friend’s which lasted for over 50 years. She was a volunteer reading mentor at Herig Elementary School. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, cooking, ceramics and especially spending time with her family. Surviving are one son and three daughters, Michael C. (Kathleen) Brush, Julie A. Brush, Jill A. (Larry) Dise, Lori K. (Jerry Middaugh) Galbraith; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn (John) Nyeste; and many nieces and nephews. Maybelle was preceded in death by her baby brother, Charles and a son-in-law, Charles W. Galbraith Jr. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Saginaw, 121 S. Harrison, Saginaw. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, where the family will be present on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
