Brewer, William F., Carrollton Township, Michigan

Beloved husband and father passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at Luther Manor Nursing Home. He was 86 years old. Son of the late Sylvester and Elizabeth (Denoma) Brewer, William was born October 22, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1949. He married Marie E. Alexander, his loving wife of 62 years, on July 11, 1953. She survives him. William was employed by Grey Iron Foundry for 37 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish, formerly St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was very active in the church. William loved building and woodworking. Surviving besides his wife Marie are one son and two daughters, Michael Brewer, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Deborah and Charles Clevenger, Breckenridge, Michigan; Mary C. Brewer, Lake, Michigan; one brother and two sisters, Ronald and Sally Brewer, Betty Lou Krchmar and Shirley Ball; several nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by five brothers, Sylvester, Morley, George, Ernest and Kenneth Brewer and a brother-in-law, William Krchmar. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church site, 545 Mapleridge, Carrollton. Rev. Fr. William R. Taylor will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, where the family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John Paul II Parish.
