Brenner Jr., Danny L., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Loving husband, son and brother passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Age 39 years. Son of Danny L. Brenner and the late Marlene (Verwey) Brenner, Danny was born September 15, 1975 in Lansing, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Danny married Darcie L. Michael on June 14, 2003. She survives him. Danny’s career was his passion first as a Journeyman tree trimmer and most recently Journeyman lineman for Detroit Edison, IBEW Local #17. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Danny enjoyed yard work, working on cars, riding dirt bikes and being on the lake, in the boat or behind the boat. He was a part of many sports teams and leagues and especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Surviving besides his wife Darcie are his father, Danny L. Brenner, Fenton; his sister, Shannon (Chris) Towslee, Perrinton; his grandmother, Carolyn Verwey, Perrinton; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rick and Diane Michael, Saginaw; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Angela and Kyle O’Brien, Bay City; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special friends. Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene Brenner, and his grandparents, Robert L. and Betty Jean Brenner. A special thanks to Heartland Hospice and Home Care. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss, Saginaw. Pastor Charles Buckhahn will officiate. Burial will take place in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #439 and the U. S. Marine Corp. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, where the family will be present on Thursday from 1-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. A Time of Sharing will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or the family.
