Boswell, Larry R., Saginaw Township, Michigan


Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Age 74 years. Son of the late Robert and Marion (Peters) Boswell, Larry was born August 30, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Karen V. Schleicher on July 21, 1962. She survives him. Larry was employed with Boswell Builders and Carpenters Local #706 retiring in 2001. He was a Vice President and Delegate for the local. Larry was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #4232. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, playing cards and especially spending time with his family and friends. Surviving besides his wife Karen are four sons and two daughters, Duane and Karen Boswell, Freeland; Dennis and Jill Boswell, Saginaw; David and Sue Boswell, Bay City; Jennifer and Ed Sprague, Saginaw; Keith and Lisa Boswell, Auburn; Trisha and Damon Duran, Saginaw; 14 grandchildren, Nathan, Mollie and Matthew Boswell, Lindsay and Zachary Boswell, Samantha and Bryan Boswell, Tyler and Mackenzie Sprague, Payton and Noah Boswell, Lucas, Emma and Ava Duran; four brothers and one sister, Terry and Gail Boswell, Saginaw; Rick and Vivian Boswell, South Carolina; Mark and Roxanne Boswell, Saginaw; Chris and Kelly Boswell, Saginaw; Kathy and Colin Campbell, California; a brother-in-law, Pastor Richard and Ellen Schleicher, Florida; many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Thereasa Boswell and a brother, Gordon Boswell. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with entombment in St. Andrew Mausoleum. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, where the family will be present on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council # 4232 will pray the Rosary at 3 p.m. Monday and a Vigil Service will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
