Zillich, Klaus Dieter, Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved husband and brother passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 72 years. The son of the late Heinz and Hilda (Pabst) Zillich, Klaus was born on July 4, 1941 in Leipzig, East Germany. He married ALane Fournier on May 19, 1980. She survives him. Klaus worked for the City of Saginaw for 10 years retiring in 2004. A kind-hearted person, Klaus enjoyed many hobbies including building benches and bird houses. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed cutting lawns for people in the neighborhood. Surviving besides his wife ALane are two sisters, Regina Litchenfelt and Irene and Ziegfried Sauer; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph (Sharon) Lukowski, Darryl (Wilma) Hansen, William (Nancy) Fournier, James (Phylis) Strayer, Kirk (Patricia) Fournier and Paul (Paula) Grzenia. Klaus was preceded in death by a brother and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Merlin and Janet Coty. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Cartwright Hospice Residence for the excellent care they provided. Honoring Mr. Zillich’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
