Ursuy, John Richard, Saginaw Township, Michigan

Passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital. Age 75 years. Son of the late George and Mary Lucille (Cook) Ursuy, John was born October 23, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from SS. Peter and Paul High School in 1957 and then became a patternmaker journeyman when it was truly a skill. He married Judy A. Langeneker on July 1, 1961. She survives him. John was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council # 4232. He enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition, gambling at his beloved Turtle Creek where he was treated as family. Surviving besides his wife Judy are one daughter and one son, Lee Ann Ursuy and Mark and Michelle Ursuy; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Ursuy; two brothers and one sister, Gary Ursuy, George and Concha Ursuy and Janice and Joe DeFrancesco; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Anna Ursuy, Kathy and Floyd Bost, Sandy and Rich Feinberg, Ben and Alice Yorks; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He loved his family passionately especially his best girl, Jodi DeFrancesco. John was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Ursuy; sister-in-law, Andrea Ursuy; in-laws, Frank, Liz and Gary Langeneker; and his niece, Sandy Ursuy. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Road. Rev. Fr. William J. Rutkowski will officiate. Honoring Mr. Ursuy’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service, led by Sister Janet Pewoski CSJ, will take place at 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
