Shaw, Jeff Michael, Saginaw, Michigan

Jeff was relieved of his arduous ailments on Saturday, October 25, 2014, in the comfort of his home, at the age of 58 years. Jeff was born on January 3, 1956, in Saginaw, to the late Donald Shaw and his surviving mother, Beverly (Spicer) Shaw. Jeff was in his element behind the kit with his sticks and thrived on outdoor excursions. Jeff had worked as a lab technician for Dow Chemical, where he’d achieved a patent. He was a long-known local legend on the drums and a humble man of true integrity. Jeff is survived by his son, Corey Shaw and daughter in-law, Jocelyn Shaw; grandest children, Cedar and Aura Shaw; his daughter, Lauren Shaw; his sisters, Debbie Boyer (Shaw), Sue Slade (Shaw), and a countless number of treasured friends from Saginaw and the surrounding area. Jeff was always upbeat, welcoming and put his friends and family far before himself when given the chance. You could often find a deep thought debate from Jeff at a number of the local area coffee shops. He passed on his enchantment for nature and his sentiment for music. He was and always will be a never forgotten son, brother, father, drummer, and kin to all else. Jeff’s memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. Friends are encouraged to join the family on Sunday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Lauren or Corey. Memories and sympathies of Jeff may also be shared with the family on his memorial website at or Remembering Jeff Shaw via Facebook.
