Seman, Paul J., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper Campus. Age 89 years. Paul was born on March 15, 1924, the fifth child of John and Mary (Baranic) Seman. Paul served his country in World War II. He retired from GM Grey Iron Casting in 1984 after 34 years of service. He married Leona Michalski, his loving wife of 65 years, on August 19, 1948. She survives him. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Leona; his two children, Donald Seman, Saginaw; Patricia (Ken) Samuels, two grandchildren, Farren and Parker; a great-grandson, Dallas; a sister, Dorothy Weiss; a brother, James (Jean) Seman; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Seman and Helen Seman; several nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Andrew Seman, Mary Gomon, John Seman, Bill Seman, Steve Seman, Edward Seman, and Lillian Seman. The family would like to thank the staff of the 7th floor of Covenant North for their loving care. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. Friends may call at St. Helen Catholic Church where the family will be present on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Helen Catholic Church or the Friends of the Saginaw County Animal Shelter. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road.
