Sanders, Robert "Jerry" "Bob" G., Saginaw, Michigan

We lost a beloved husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather, and veteran when Robert was taken to be with the Lord on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the age of 83 years. Robert was born April 26, 1931 in Piggott, Arkansas to the late Cecil and Dorothy (Haywood) Sanders. He married Erna Zietz October 13, 1951. They would have been married 63 years. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Saginaw, and was also a member of American Legion Post 439. Bob was one of the Saginaw area top bowlers and eventually was inducted into the Saginaw Bowling Hall of Fame in 1980. He currently served as the director of the Bowling Hall of Fame and was also a past board director of the Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame. Bob enjoyed playing cards with all his friends, especially his euchre partner, Marv Boersma. He was a loyal Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan. He also enjoyed watching all of his grandchildren participating in sports. Surviving besides his wife Erna are his four children: Sandra (Kris) Sanders Agnew, David (Patti) Sanders, Debbie (Doug) Sanders Schultz, and Sharon (Dan) Sanders Bade; eight grandchildren: Lindsey (Thad) Agnew Wolfram, Justin (Megon) Smith, Tyler (Jenna) Agnew, Jordan Schultz, Nicole Bade, Lucas Bade, Macy Schultz, and Robert Sanders; five great grandchildren: Madeleine and Zoey Wolfram, and Aubrey, Greyson, and Faith Smith; three sisters-in-law: Marie (Robert) Warner, Yvonne Zietz, and Leslie Sanders; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved pets: Maggie Bade (grandpa's eating partner), Char Sanders (ball playing buddy), Champ Agnew, and Eddie and Izzo Wolfram.
