Nerychel, Sophie, Norton Shores, MI, Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the age of 100 years. Sophie Bloniarczyk was born February 17, 1914 in St. Charles to the late Andrew and Margaret (Skalny) Bloniarczyk. She married Holdine "Henry" Nerychel on October 26, 1935. He predeceased her February 27, 1968. Sophie enjoyed gardening and caring for her home and family. Her family was her life. Surviving are two daughters: Betty Dean of Marysville, MI and Maxine (Richard) Conley of Fremont, MI; six grandchildren: Janet (George) Kleinpeter, Thomas Dean, Steven (Kelly) Dean, Diane Conley, David (Kristina) Conley, and Denise (Kurt) Burns; ten great grandchildren: Brandon, Blake, and Bryce Kleinpeter; Emma, Eric, and Phillip Conley; Kent, Jack, and Sophia Burns; and Devon Dean. Also surviving are one sister and three brothers: Irene (Martin) Kern, Leonard Bloniarczyk, Robert (Vi) Bloniarczyk, and William (Jean) Bloniarczyk. Sophie was predeceased by her son-in-law, Lawrence Dean; and two brothers and one sister: Frank Bloniarczyk, Walter Bloniarczyk, and Stella Dague. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate the funeral service on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (S. M-47). Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends are welcome to gather with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, October 23 from 2:00-5:00 p.m., and one hour before the service on Friday.
