Nab, Edith K., Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 97 years. Edith Katherine Wagner was born on July 22, 1916, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to the late Henry and Katherine (Eurich) Wagner. She was married to Baldemar Nab on September 24, 1934, in Gering, Nebraska. He predeceased her on October 2, 1998. Edith was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Dailey Pickle for about 15 years. Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Edwin (Mary Lou) Nab, Saginaw; Roy (Deerell) Nab, Chaparral, N.M.; Janice Olson, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Jay (Dorothy) Johnston, Edwin (Susan) Nab, Jr., Greg (Kari) Nab, Eric Nab and Kimberly Nab; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Edith was the youngest of eleven children. She was predeceased by eight brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will take place on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 4705 Brockway. The Rev. Daniel P. Garbow will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., on Thursday, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., then at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be given to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
