Moffett, Gregory A., Palm Harbor, FL, Bay City, Michigan


Passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at the Sun Coast Hospice House in Palm Harbor, Florida following a lengthy illness. Age 58 years. Greg was born on August 21, 1955, in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy. Greg worked in construction as a carpenter. Surviving are his two children Gregory Zolton, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL and Eric Zolton, Carpentersville, IL; their mother and lifelong friend Debra Zolton; his father, Larry Moffett, Beaverton; three brothers, Wayne (Vickie) Moffett, Larry Moffett Jr., Kirk (Patty) Moffett, all of Bay City; three nieces and nephews; special aunt, Linda (Thomas) Cierzniewski; a step-brother and three step-sisters, Mark King, Lorie Egleston, Julie Schultz, and Jill Haycook. He was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen A. (Hansen) Moffett, his nephew, Kyle Moffett, and his step-mother, Kay Moffett. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. Charles F. Buckhahn will officiate with burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, where military honor guard will be conducted under the auspices of VFW Post 1859 Carrollton-Zilwaukee. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
