Manial, Eileen R., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital. Age 81 years. Daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Compeau) Cottrell, Eileen was born November 7, 1932 in Carrollton, Michigan. She was married to Donald Manial on November 4, 1950. He survives her. Eileen was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She loved to take care of her home, visiting friends and family and especially taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband Donald are one son and one daughter and their spouses, David and Carla Manial, Freeland; Kelly and James Talik, Butler, Indiana; two grandchildren, Nicole (Colton) Keener, Austin Talik; two great-grandchildren, Remington and Huck Keener; three step-grandchildren, Paul Gregus, Kyle Gregus and Tera Gregus-Krish; two step great-grandchildren, Gavin Gregus and Gabriel Krish; one sister, Noreen (Pug) Carrigan; two sisters-in-law, Mary Claire Thumme and Carol Cornell; one brother-in-law, Robert and Maryann Manial; many nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Manial and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Ave. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate with entombment in Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
