Kujawa, Chester F., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 74 years. The son of the late Henry and Lottie (Bator) Kujava, Chet was born January 22, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Deanna Salvi, his loving wife of 54 years, on August 27, 1960. She survives him. Chet was employed at Domestic Linen Supply for 22 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and a past member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council #4232 and was an avid trout fisherman and deer hunter. Chet’s life revolved around his grandchildren. He loved watching his grandchildren play football, play in the band and participate in dance recitals. Surviving besides his wife Deanna are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, John and Karen Kujawa, Saginaw; Karen Kujawa Stack and Matt Bishop and his daughter Sarah, Saginaw; Ken and Karen Kujawa, Saginaw; nine grandchildren, Cassidy, Dakota, Courtney, Nicholas (Victoria), Matthew, Bradley, Timmy, Gabby, Kenny Boy and Jack; one brother, Henry and Maryann Kujava, St. Charles; several nieces and nephews including Billy, Konni and Katy, who were very special to Chet. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Andy LaFramboise will officiate. Honoring Mr. Kujawa’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service, led by Sharon Wahl, Pastoral Associate, will take place at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
